cigar time.
There we were...the show was over, the lot jammed and traffic at a standstill. It's 12:10am. Cigar time. So Kenny and I celebrated the show with a smoke and caught up on life with lots of our own stories. I think Springsteen does that to people. He brings out the stories in ya. We were cracking stories I hadn't told in over 15 years, since our Watertown days.
Fitting end to the day.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band play Buffalo, NY.
Tonight was the final show of their two-year world tour. They played an amazing three and a half hour, 34 song show, including, for the first time ever, their entire first album, Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ.

Growin' Up.
"There we were..." That was the start of a long Springsteen story about how the band first started back in Asbury in the 70's. And as he told the tale, for just a moment, he and The Big Man, Clarence Clemons came together in the same pose they struck for the cover of their classic album Born to Run.

A final bow.
There has been a lot of talk by fans and music writers that this could be the last show ever for the E Street Band as several members might retire for good. If it was the last, they went out on top.
