annual horseshoe crab migration to Reeds Beach, NJ.
this is one of those things i read about years ago and always meant to go see. thousands of horseshoe crabs wash up on the beach with the tide to lay their eggs as thousands of migrating birds move in to feast on the eggs.

Believe it or not, we fit one more thing into this day. And still got a good dinner right before the kitchen closed. And had enough beach time at the Cape May lighthouse to watch a guy surf-fishing land a 38" striped bass. -- Tom, not in any of these pix
